SolarX allows users to observe the movements of planets and the moon in real time.

Functionality

• Users can adjust time settings to visualize planetary alignments.
• Rise and set times for each planet and the moon are provided.
• The built-in compass assists in locating specific planets by referencing their azimuth and altitude values.

How to Use

• Ensure your device is in landscape mode for optimal viewing.
• Grant location access to the app for accurate positioning. In the absence of GPS, location information will be retrieved via the internet, albeit with reduced precision.
• The Planets Panel on the left allows users to focus on individual planets.
• The Time Panel at the bottom left facilitates time manipulation.
• The bottom right panel displays azimuth and altitude values for each planet at a given time. These values are only visible with location data provided.
• The top panel features a compass for directional assistance.
• To locate a planet, align your heading with its azimuth value (e.g., if a planet's azimuth is 260° W, adjust your heading to 260° West).
• Altitude values indicate a planet's position relative to the observer (green text: visible, red text: below horizon). An altitude of 90° places the planet overhead, 0° signifies it's on the horizon, and values below 0 indicate it's below the horizon.
• The satellite icon button on the top right refreshes location data if access is enabled.
• The 2D button provides a top-down view of the solar system, with the option to return to planets by zooming in or selecting them from the right panel.
• The Settings button allows users to toggle between local time and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and customize orbit line displays.
